List of Gluten Free Foods

If you have celiac disease or are gluten intolerant, then you need a list of gluten free foods. A good gluten free food list will help you make food choices that will not trigger unpleasant symptoms in you. It can be challenging at first to start a gluten free diet, but you’ll soon find there are plenty of tasty foods you can eat while remaining healthy.

Gluten Free Food List – General Foods

There are a large number of foods that can be found on a list of gluten free foods. In general, gluten is found in foods made from wheat, rye, barley, and possibly oats. Therefore gluten is found in foods like baked goods and cereals, but a number of other foods may contain small amounts of gluten as well because wheat or flour is used as an ingredient in a large number of foods. There are a number of gluten free prepared foods that are available these days that should be included on any list of gluten free foods. You may be able to find some of these at your favorite grocery store, or you may need to check out your local health food store or order some things online. Make sure you read the labels carefully, though. Manufacturers can change ingredients at any time without notice, so just because an item was gluten free at the time this article was written, there is no guarantee it will still be gluten free when you’re ready to purchase it.
